My name is Ms. Kelly. This is my 8th year teaching for Holland Public Schools and 17th year teaching over all. I hail from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with an Elementary Education major & Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies minors. In college, I was involved in the U of M Mentorship Program, the University Lutheran Chapel, and the Ann Arbor Hands On Museum's Science camp-ins for upper elementary groups. All of my siblings went to Ann Arbor, too, but different schools: a sister to U of M Business, a brother to U of M Engineering, and another sister to Concordia University for teaching High School Social Studies. They all live in Illinois or Michigan, so we travel or face time to see each other a lot!
I have 2 children, a girl & a boy. They keep me busy with art, reading, biking, animals, sports, math, and Legos. In our free time, we love exploring outside, trying new foods, and traveling to new places like zoos, museums, and state parks. At home, we like to play wii & table games, and read YA Fiction together. We have a guinea pig named Rio and a big flower and vegetable garden.
I love spending time with my family by the lake, biking, cooking, gardening, camping, fishing, visiting zoos & museums across the Mid-West, and playing table games like The Settlers of Catan, Uno Spin, Frustration, and Quirkle. Family gatherings usually include a sit down meal followed by table games and a walk along the lake or park trail.
