1) Create a new project in Google Slides or another digital presentation tool (ex. Photopeach, Prezi).
Rename it with your "First & Last Name, Unit 1". For example, "Amy Kelly, Science Unit 1". 2) Set up your project with the 6 slides/pages/bubbles. a) Create a Cover slide/page/bubble/heading. Entitle it "Science Unit 1". b) Create a 2nd slide/page/bubble/subheading. Entitle it "Tour of the Moon". c) Create a 3rd slide/page/bubble/subheading. Entitle it "Moon Phases". d) Create a 4th slide/page/bubble/subheading. Entitle it "Lunar and Solar Eclipses". e) Create a 5th slide/page/bubble/subheading. Entitle it "Ocean Tides". f) Create a final slide/page/bubble/subheading. Entitle it "Bibliography". 3) Prepare to cite your sources as you collect data in the Web Quest. Open a tab in your browser for a Digital Citation option like the Knightcite website or Citeability's extension. Select the MLA format. 4) Watch video explaining Tour the Moon in Google Earth in English or with Spanish subtitles. 5) Open Google Earth --> Moon Gallery --> Guided Tours --> Buzz Aldrin, Apollo 11. Enjoy the guided tour! ** If Google Earth is not working, you may watch the YouTube video of the guided tour. 6) View phase of the moon photos. 7) View lunar eclipse photos and a solar eclipse video highlights. 8) Explore animated models of moon tides, also called ocean tides. 9) Create a digital presentation explaining the phases of the moon, eclipses, and ocean tides.
